As communities and local government agencies contemplate strategies to address relocation from climate impacted areas, customizable and flexible approaches are needed that provide options for communities to assist homeowners with selling and moving from their home. These programs can be designed to lessen the administrative burden for the homeowner. Modeled after noise mitigation programs implemented for our airport clients, Sales Assistance and Purchase Assurance programs are designed to assure fair market value of the home as well as cover eligible closing costs. Buyout Programs also include incentive payments to assist homeowners with purchasing a replacement home outside the impacted area.
